Payment/Insurance We ask that your CT scan be paid for in full at the time that the scan is taken. Because ADI is an independent imaging center (not a dentist’s office), dental insurances will not contract with us. This means that we are not permitted to act as a contracted insurance provider from our office. We are working to contract with medical insurance companies so in the future, this will enable us to process medical insurance claims (since some dental CT scans are also needed for medical purposes). We will provide you with a detailed receipt that includes a dental billing code as well as a medical billing code (if applicable). You will need to contact your insurance company and provide them with the code on the receipt. Your insurance company will reimburse you directly for any scans that they are agreeable to pay for according to your specific policy. ADI accepts many different forms of payment including: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Cash and Checks.

What to expect at your appointment When you visit ADI, our staff will help you to feel at ease in our professional and comfortable office environment. Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. After completing registration forms, the technologist who will take your scan will greet you and bring you to the procedure room.
You will stay fully clothed for the scan and it is not necessary to abstain from eating or drinking. No needles or shots are involved. A technologist will place a lead apron over your regular clothing and then will position you in the procedure chair. After you are properly seated, the technologist will take the scan which is normally less than 40 seconds.
The entire process from our receptionist greeting through scan completion to your departure typically takes less than 20 minutes. The images will be made accessible to your referring practitioner promptly. Your practitioner will then interpret the images and use them to provide you with a diagnosis and treatment plan.
